The main reason for installing VA was to gain some kind of control and visibility over where our cars were in the preparation process. It’s helped us to identify bottlenecks and put in place measures to work through them, as well as implement new processes to try and prevent those from reoccurring. It has helped people across the business identify where cars physically need to be on-site and get the teams working on cars to work more efficiently. We have been able to spot which areas need more resources, and where staff are not being properly utilised.

VA has also meant that we can also support sales better, as they can see where cars are at in the process, and thus manage customer expectations for car availability. Sales Management can also use it as a tool to communicate with the team any work required as part of a sale, rather than relying on verbal conversations or emails which are so easily lost.

We are still very much ‘bedding in’ the system as part of our preparation process, but VA adapts to the changes we need to make as a business so that it suits our individual processes, which is great.

We have found vAutoStock invaluable as a “one-stop shop” to keep control of all our preparation processes, before installing their system it was difficult to keep track of a car’s journey through our own mechanical preparation and then onto the various outside trades ie paintless dent/smart repair and wheel refurbs- and the ability to prioritise certain jobs over others. vAutoStock has given us complete control of a vehicle's journey through all these channels now, with the ability for the sales team and outside trades to log in and see what needs doing and when.
